  21. Does the sound filter work properly (is it on always?) If so you should take
  22. a look at the 1488/1489 chips. The filter testing is though not a garanty so
  23. you should anyway change the 1488/1489 chip's first (they are very cheap 1-2
  24. uk p.). If this wount help it could be the CIA's even the Paule, but most
  25. likely a transistor or resistor is blown.

  27. Oh, btw: the 1488/9 are both surface mounted and on the A4000 they are very
  28. tiny too (don't know about the A3000) On A500/A2000 cut the legs and then
  29. solder those of.
